7:00 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N223. GOLEMS' GUARD POST You open the at the end of the corridor and and peer into a square room. You're looking in from the west side of the room; there are doors on the north, east, and south walls. Two massive statuesque figures made of dark brown and black metal stand guard on either side of the northern door of this chamber. The great statues are well made, representing heavily armed and armored giants. Their faces are covered with thick metal helms that do not show any opening for eyes. 10:56 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N239, 240, 241. ABANDONED AND DESTROYED. There is an unusually long stretch of corridor running eastward without any southbound intersections. When you do find one, it carries you into another maze of corridors. Several of the rooms and halls prove to be empty, or almost so. You find a pile of moldy wood holding down a seemingly dead body in N240 -- when the wood is moved, the body turns out to be an attacking zombie. The zombie doesn't last long. In N241, you find a large mass of dark blue steel on the floor of the hall. Sorting through it, you find it to be a statue shattered into dozens of pieces. The steel has a cold, clammy feel to it. A northward passage leads into a high, dark hall (N245). An eastward passage leads past two tall, ornately wrought tomb doors (N242 and 243). There is a hallway leading north to a locked door (N250), and an antechamber (N236) on the south wall of an otherwise empty hall. (17 Comments |Comment on this)

6:53 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N171. OUTPOST. You go back up to the long corridor, dodge another trap or two, and turn SOUTH! at the next intersection. The long corridor continues east. After going about thirty feet SOUTH!, the corridor widens into another twenty by twenty room. Two tall, emaciated statues are the only notable features of this chamber. The statue standing on the east wall is fashioned from green and gray stone and dark burgundy metal. Its counterpart on the west wall is shaped with greenish stone and bluish alloys. 7:36 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N167 (continued). IRON GOLEM GUARDIAN. A large iron statue in the form of an armored humanoid dominates this square chamber. Its arms and head face in both directions at once, its anatomy an unsightly perversion of human form. A macabre helmet rests atop spiked shoulders, and hollow eyes are set all around its "face." The statue holds a heavy flail made from blackened steel. Nigel is in the room. Everybody else is on the far side of the locked door in the north wall. (11 Comments |Comment on this)

The ghostly shape of an eerie figure hangs in the darkness, moaning and gibbering, its empty eye betraying an underlying evil. 9:11 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N149. DEVASTATED CHAMBER. Several piles of detritus lie scattered upon the floor of this wide passage. Composed of powdery rocks, broken stone boulders, charred wood, and the busted remains of wooden stools and a marble table, these piles take up most of the floor, making travel through the corridor difficult at best. The room feels dirty and unclean. There is a passageway on the east end of the room. You can just see the western end behind you; the eastward path stretches into the darkness. There are north-south alcoves cut into the corridor every fifty to sixty feet. A little bit past the second set of alcoves, it looks like there may be an intersection with a southwards corridor. Scoring Aeonstar, Humminah, and Jibjib receive 125 xp each for figuring out how to avoid the oil traps. For the first time in a long time, nothing tries to kill you. After your morning ablutions, you have several possible directions to go. There are two large chambers to the south (N95 and N93). Further south is room 76, an intersection you have passed through that has a door leading east (N103). You could go west, back towards the entrance gates, which will take you to rooms N101 or N99. 6:55 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N102. VINNARA'S COMMAND CENTER. The wraiths lead you north through several long corridors, then east a bit and north again through a large door. A chill wind rushes over everyone entering this hall. Furniture fills the room: two great tables, wall maps, suits of armor, and a throne-like chair situated behind a map-laden desk. The furnishings are not crafted of the same black stone as in the rest of the tomb, however, nor from any other kind of mundane material. Rather, they flicker and fade in and out of reality, ghostly forms. Among the spectral desks and maps drift animate shadows, silently moving with dire purpose. These creatures pay no mind to the living, but from the back of the chamber, upon the great ghostly throne, a figure rises. Though as spectral as her surroundings, the silhouette is that of a fearsome bald woman with dagger-like features. Resplendent in hulking armor that writhes as if constructed of bound souls, she sacans the intruders. Near her stands a transparent scythe that crackles with a morbid green energy, but her ghostly hand does not reach for it. Instead, she booms in a proud voice, "I had forgotten how slowly mortal flesh crawls. Hold, live things! I would speak with you." Scoring Aeonstar, Jibjib, and Magnar earn 18,000 xp each for destroying Vinnara and driving away her wraiths. Because of the "no more than one level per encounter" rule, Humminah earns only 16,024 xp. You see passageways going north, south (N86), and east (N103). You have about two minutes left on your death wards. This broad hall sinks into complete darkness. The high walls are filled with burial alcoves, but in each rests only piles of dust and bone fragments. Near the center of the hall is what looks to be a tall pile of shattered bones, constructed of at least a hundred yellow skeletons. Facing the treasures are dozens of richly appointed burial alcoves. Through gilt and glass doors you can see that they are filled with hundres of ancient coins, interspersed with what could be gem-encrusted golden bones. 6:36 pm [scc_gamemaster]	N43. CRYPT OF THE WRATHFUL. Swords, spearheads, blades, and the scent of oil fill this low-ceilinged room. The walls are sculpted in a pattern of thousands of interlocking weapons, all of their edges dull and pointing harmlessly away from the room's center. That is, except for where they edge up against the burial alcoves. The surfaces of these shelves consist exclusively of painful=looking blades. Their only dull points are the rusty iron bars that hold the scarred remains inside. A door on the east side leads to N44. As you enter the room, a terrible screaming rises up from the alcoves. Down its center, stone tables are piled with realistic sculptures of food and drink. Set within the walls, totally out of the reach of any part of this stony feast, are stacks of broad burial alcoves. Each is barred with thick, gnawed bones. 8:51 am [scc_gamemaster]	N41. ARCH OF BLOOD. Curved into a dangerous arch, the black walls of this chamber are constructed to imitate a gory deluge raining down in a sanguine waterfall. Within the walls, melted or obscured by the frozen liquid, are hundreds of screaming pain-wracked faces. At the room's highest point, the sculpted waves uncover their sources, endlessly flowing from the mouth of a skull. There is no sign of the wraiths. (Not that you're really expecting them, since the last attack was a couple of hours ago.) Scoring Aeonstar, Humminah, Jibjib, Magnar, and Shiitake earn 210 xp each for taking a nice warm bloodbath.
